UGA was in the final four in 1982-1983 and played for the national championship in 1982, losing in the championship game against Penn St.

Michigan State was in both 2015

How'd that work out for them in football again?

Played in football playoffs for 2015-16 season.

Played in Final Four for the 2014-15 season.

Same calendar year, but not same school year.

This is going to have to be reviewed

At least Bama fans appear to have a sport to fall back onto once DeBoer falls on his face.

I think in the old Bowl system era.... Georgia in '82-'83 and Oklahoma in '87-'88 were the only programs to do both.

Florida is still the only team two make both and win both in any era. Quite a feat. May never happen again.

In all fairness, this would have happened at ALABAMA most any year our basketball team finally made the Final 4.

Oklahoma State now claims this since they won the NCAA tournament in 1945 and in 2016 were retroactively named 1945 football champs by the "Blue Ribbon Committee."

Just listened to an interview with Bryan Hodgson Ark St HC Bb talk about Oats.

Pretty interesting.

Says Oats has 23 managers that are assigned to do all kinds of things charting everything involving the team.

Molded his offense around NBA data analysts that say 3 points and layups are the most efficient way to generate points. He said he was old school from Jr College ball and knew little about analytics but fully converted now. Said he was confused that Oats wasn’t looking for mid range shots and wanted to speak out but didn’t. Says they get players to buy in by showing them who is going in the draft the most.

Said Oats only has an on switch and has an extremely high amount of energy and doesn’t drink a touch of caffeine.

I really like that kind of insight into what makes a coach the way they are. Was a good interview.

Texas had a football national championship and sweet 16 almost in the same season. Pre playoffs of course.

Yeah Bama definitely deserves to have everything taken away from them. I predict they lose in the basketball finals and then the coach leaves them. Then God takes revenge against them and they are sacrificed to the NCAA and then a Democrat takes over and they all become transgender.
