2009 schedule turned out to be meh. One really good team, UF. Texas without McCoy was nothing.

Second best team bama played was 9-4 finishing 19th in the AP.

Guarantee bama plays a much tougher schedule by end of this year.

Bama 2015 will be much better than bama 2009. If they aren't they will end up with 4-5 losses against a much stronger SEC. AU, UGA, LSU, Ole Miss, MSU and Tenn will all be better than their 2009 version. Not to mention AtM.

SEC in 2015 is much much stronger than 2009 SEC.

Who's to say the teams Bama plays this year will turn out to be worth a shite?

2009 season Bama played 5 teams that were preseason top 25
#1 Florida
#2 Texas
#7 Virginia Tech
#8 Ole Miss
#11 LSU

2015 season Bama plays 7 teams that are preseason top 25
#6 Auburn
#9 Georiga
#14 LSU
#17 Ole Miss
#18 Arkansas
#20 Wisconsin
#25 Tennessee

That team would beat the socks off any of the other SEC NC winners.

They almost lost to TN and AU.

Again, as in the previous thread where you made the same argument, BS...and I have the same rebuttal. In 2009, Bama beat 3 teams in the AP's final top 10: #2 Texas, #3 UF, and #10 Virginia Tech...and 2 more teams in the top 20 (LSU & Ole Miss). Bama's strength of schedule in 2009 was rated very high by all the various ranking systems (#1 in Massey, #1 in TeamRankings.com, #2 in Sagarin, #8 in Congrove). If that's a meh schedule, then almost all other teams played a "worse than meh" schedule in 2009...

Other than that, you may be right. The SEC is most likely stronger this year than in 2009...and Bama's schedule this year could very well be tougher than 2009 but we won't likely know that till the end of the year...

Auburn almost lost to Mississippi State, South Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Alabama in 2010, but does that mean anything?

Texas could have easily lost to Oklahoma State in 2005 down 28-12 at halftime, but didn't.

Florida nearly lost to South Carolina, Tennessee, and even Florida State (7-6) in 2006, but still won the natty.

But nobody was claiming those teams would "beat the socks off the other SEC NCs"

very tough schedule

we will have a big punishing run-blocking Offensive line and several of the best RBs in the country, we have a couple former #1 WR recruits on the team (in 09 had 1 in julio), we are going to have a brutal defensive line (this version will be better and deeper than 09), we have probably the best LB in the country (ragland) like we did in 09 (rolando), and we have a secondary stocked with former 5 star players ready to contribute

This is pretty much every yeaer.

We are again coming off a somewhat disappointing season

In 2009 you were coming off a season you couldn't imagined in your wildest dreams.

In short, your post sucks.

Auburn was down 21-0 within the first 15 minutes of the 2010 Iron Bowl.

They almost got beat by 4 other teams that year too.
