This season is setting up pretty much like 2009 for us. We are facing a very tough schedule. We are likely going to be starting a lightly recruited 3-star QB from a texas powerhouse school who makes good decisions and does not turn the ball over (although morris has more arm than gmac), we will have a big punishing run-blocking Offensive line and several of the best RBs in the country, we have a couple former #1 WR recruits on the team (in 09 had 1 in julio), we are going to have a brutal defensive line (this version will be better and deeper than 09), we have probably the best LB in the country (ragland) like we did in 09 (rolando), and we have a secondary stocked with former 5 star players ready to contribute. We are again coming off a somewhat disappointing season where we just missed out on playing for a NC. history is going to repeat itself, undefeated national champs in 2015

Who had the best Offense Alabama played against that year ?
I do not think Bama's opponents were as good Offensively as they are this year. Most were built for the power run game.

we have questions on the OLINE still, 09' was a sure fire OLINE preseason. We have questions on in the defensive backfield still, 09' was a pretty sure fire defensive backfield.

^ that wasn't true in 09' - at least not who started.

You don't have established offensive weapons like you did in 2009

....the #1 Florida Gators. They weren't destroying everyone like the year before, but they still had a Heisman Trophy winner that got tossed like a salad in the 2nd half.

our d has finally gone through the overhaul to handle the changes in offense in the last few years. slimmer faster DL that goes 3 deep with very litte drop off, faster more athletic LBs who can cover

That was the only real offense on their schedule and it was game13.

I'm now pulling for Ohio St to win the NC this year, and that's just disgusting. You see what you made me do?!?

2009 schedule turned out to be meh. One really good team, UF. Texas without McCoy was nothing.

Second best team bama played was 9-4 finishing 19th in the AP.

Guarantee bama plays a much tougher schedule by end of this year.

Bama 2015 will be much better than bama 2009. If they aren't they will end up with 4-5 losses against a much stronger SEC. AU, UGA, LSU, Ole Miss, MSU and Tenn will all be better than their 2009 version. Not to mention AtM.

SEC in 2015 is much much stronger than 2009 SEC.

Also, 2009 UF was ovverated.

They had 6 games they did not win by 10 or more. And 4 of those were against unranked teams.

Additionally they went 1-1 against ranked teams during the season.

Good thing too, because considering Auburn almost won the Iron Bowl in 2009, 2015 AU would crush 2009 Bama

No, but the main lesson from the last two years is if a team is built to mirror Saban's style, he usually trumps it with better talent. In 2007, 9 or more teams ran that style Football. In 2015, maybe three teams play that style.

That team would beat the socks off any of the other SEC NC winners.
