If anybody should have moved up it was Oklahoma. Bama is getting a lot of credit for beating a 4 win UF team. They'll skate through the season as per usual while being proclaimed tGoat by the media until Gus skullfricks their arse at the end of the season

Alabama has now been No. 1 at some point during the past seven years, dating back to 2008. It tied Miami (1986-92) for the longest streak in poll history, dating back to 1936.

During that ongoing stretch, the Crimson Tide is 26-9 (.742) against ranked opponents, having won 13 of the last 15, and 16-5 (.761) against teams in the top 10.

Neither is Bama. Remember, what don't come out in the rinse will come out in the wash.

FSU will lose to ND in a few weeks IMO

unfortunately, there are enough voters dying to fondle ND's balls & stick them in FSU's place in the polls, so there are no winners in this scenario...

Will take it, but I'm not moving Bama to #1.....Oregon, Oklahoma and Fla State didn't do anything to make me think any less of them.....especially during a weekend in which Bama didn't play anyone

Because you are who we thought you were!

But seriously, at this point A&M has the better resume while being tested twice. Baylor looks good but until they play someone they shouldn't be higher.

Tested twice, yes, but since the tests were a USCe team that just lost to Missouri and a Rice program that lost to ODU, I'm not sure their resume holds up yet. But they have Mississippi State next week, so that could be a defining win.

Bama is #3 in the nation in Total Offense vs FBS opponents, and #4 in the nation in Total Defense vs FBS opponents.
