Saw Stanford in person yesterday. They were anemic on offense and if Washington had anyone but Cyler Miles at QB, they win by 20.

I agree Bama should be #1.

I think the top 5 is right. I would probably put OU #2 but I can see it

Lots of ball left.

Stanford is always relatively anemic on offense unless Luck is there. They do a decent power running game, but their bread and butter is stiff defense and three yards and a cloud of dust offense.

Will take it, but I'm not moving Bama to #1.....Oregon, Oklahoma and Fla State didn't do anything to make me think any less of them
Yeah, it's funny that all last year they talked about Bama should stay at one until someone beats them even though they didn't look like a #1 team but now they want to push them ahead of teams that won the NC and beat them to end the year.

Especially since Bama hasn't beaten any relevant teams. But at this point no one looks like a #1 team. I also can't believe they think so much of A&M but only gave Arky 5 votes. They lost to 2 top 10 teams. Just shows the media votes for their teams without looking at the games.

They would have my vote even though I hate them and think they are vastly overrated and will lose two. Right now they pass the eye test.

Oklahoma at 3 is too high and Baylor at 6 is a mfn joke!

Only negative about being in the SEC is we don't get to bend Baylor over every year.

FSU will lose to ND in a few weeks IMO, and probably drop another game.
ND @ home? No.

You'll have to forgive him; when Rabern discusses Alabama, he tends to get so mad that he forgets what he's talking about.

No I misread which poll but I stick to Bama not deserving to be #1 until FSU loses or one of the 2 teams that beat them last year loses. They've still yet to beat a team that won more than 6 games last year. If it was reasonable to Bama fans to keep them at #1 last year because this then it should be the same this year.

Last year's record is the most telling metric in how good a team will be this year. Sort of like how Auburn went 3-9 in 2012 and 11-1 the next year.

So dumb.

Auburn had a coaching change and greatly underachieved. The schools Bama played are general garbage schools, minus UF with the same coach. Plus preseason rankings are based on the previous year and that's why teams are ranked where they are. There is still no good reason to put Bama ahead of FSU. They've beaten a ranked team.

I agree with this statement. You take you #1 ranking and you like it.

7 years in a row being #1 at some point during the season, tied for the longest such streak in history.

That's a lot of order being restored.
