B.S. They bounced back more times than a fickin' trampoline this season. You don't do that w/o leaders on the team. Landon Collins gets my vote for team MVP! I wish he would have went to LSU..... Just saying. Geaux Tigers!

This may be one of the most derailed threads I've ever seen. That being said, no. AJ was not right. Things went bad and Sims lead them to wins. Maybe not in the Sugar Bowl, but I don't define the season just by how it ended and don't put that loss all on him either.

The ONLY reason we were able to win 12 games this year was because we had leadership that the rest of the team respected. Without that - we lose 4 easily, IMO.
Agreed. 'Bama stepped up to pull out the Arky and LSU games.

AJ was the most accomplished QB in Alabama history. No denying that but he was a weird dude.
Agree. Despite all areas where people give AJ grief, he was a cold blooded winner and you can't say otherwise without lying. He lost, what 4 games in 3 years, one of which was a meaningless bowl game? 9-6 was the only time he truly struggled, which was understandable.
IMO, the 2014 Tide seemed to have leadership, they just lost the game on the field. They could have easily folded on may occasions and did not (after Ole Miss, @LSU, @Arky)

It was everyone else - especially LSU and Auburn fans - saying that we were in for an 8-5 type season.
I don't think many thought 8-5. There were certainly many, including myself, who thought they would not win the SECW or SEC.
