It was horrid. I'll not defend it. Glad it will have a chance to take before our next game.

Not sure, go find some Hog facemasks from your last visit to Kyle Field. There will be plenty of grass and dirt on them.

It didn't help we got something like 2-3" of rain the day before.

Yup. Worst case scenario.

Honestly I wish we'd have gone with field turf for this season. It is what it is at this point. I have no doubt it will be much better by the next game, though.

Modern fields should be able to handle a little rain. Does anyone know what kind of sod they used and when they laid it?

Hard to believe the field conditions were THAT bad, considering they just spent half a billion dollars renovating the place.

Pretty sure it is a multi year rebuild and will not actually be done till next season. Probably just temporary grass.

It was more the combination of that much rain combined with the field not having had time to properly take. It was laid late due to construction.

Read the question again and try to figure out why it's so stupid.

Yup. Grass only here for this year. Will have to redo for next year due to all the equipment that will be there this summer when they tear down and rebuild the west stands.

Hopefully they lay it down earlier next year. Should be fine for Ole Miss according to the field managers. But it had not yet fully taken, so when it rained, that happened.

I think your field managers did it on purpose to slow down Rice.

Obviously, but this is new grass still trying to take. The rain effected it much more. By seasons end it could rain cats and dogs for a week and will be perfect for the LSU game.

Looking forward to it

Friends who went to the game Saturday said the stadium looked great. That is messed up about the grass though, but it will take. Thank god none of you are groundskeepers
