Given his current streak of success and the fact that one day Saban will retire, will Dabo come running when mama calls? Or will mama even call at all?
First of all I think Saban as a good 5-7 years left in him which is an eternity in college football.
With the win last night, Dabo has cemented himself to the Clemson nation as their GOAT. So I think when it comes time for Saban to retire, I would think Dabo would have a few years under his belt to cement his legacy at Clemson. Wouldn't surprise me if he wins another title. Further, Clemson is making a commitment and spending money to get the top notch facilities like Bama.
So the question becomes, assuming money and control are equal or better, what does he want? Does he want to follow in the footsteps of the legends of Wade, Thomas, Bryant, Saban, and his mentor Gene Stallings? To be considered one of the all time greats and get his statue along side those legends. Or, does he want to be the Bear Bryant of Clemson?
By the point Saban retires, I think it would be an extremely difficult decision to make and to be able to pry him out five years down the road unless he stops winning.

I think Dabo will be an afterthought for most folks in two years. FSU is still the owner of the ACC, as they have been since 1992.

I think it will be interesting to see how clemson plays post Watson. I think a lot of people don't understand how good he was

Why would the best college football coach in the country want to lock himself down to a school he just beat breaks off of in the NC just because it's his alma mater? Dabo is building a dynasty at Clemson.
