After last night, is Dabo a lock for Alabama HC?

After beating his alma mater, Dabo was quoted as saying "I still love Alabama and its a great program." While many coaches say that they respect other teams after a big win, Dabo said it with so much conviction that it seemed to me he was reminding folks at UA that he still bleeds crimson and white.
Given his current streak of success and the fact that one day Saban will retire, will Dabo come running when mama calls? Or will mama even call at all?

I'd say after last night, it's going to be hard to pry Dabo away from clemson

Run and grab me a beer out the fridge, Ashley. The men are talking about the game, girl.

Why would Dabo take a step down to coach at Alabama ?

He mentioned his love for Alabama about 12 times last night - so much that an LSU fan started a thread to melt over it... so I say yes.

Would you want to be the guy that follows Saban at ALabama?
No. You want to be the guy that follows the guy that followed Saban and failed.

Clemson to bama is a lateral move at best for Dabo.

I think he would come if Alabama made the offer. Personally, I'm surprised as hell at what he has accomplished at Clemson because he comes off pretty clownish to me. I know it's petty but he just does. Can't really argue with the results though so you have to think he will get a serious look if he continues to have success. Will be interesting to see what life after Watson will be like for Clemson/Dabo.

Do you really not get the reference or are you attempting to troll? Serious question.

Hunter Johnson, Trevor Lawrence? Pretty sure he'll be just fine.

It's probably because his name is Dabo. It just sounds off

Dunno, he's about to get paid. If Bama is turned down, I hope we give PSU oc a look.

There's only one Dashaun Watson. He looked better than Vince young.

I don't know who these people are.

I'm sure they will continue to be good. They were good with Tahj Boyd but more top 15 type good - Watson elevated them to basically an unprecedented level for Clemson football.

Johnson is pro style, Bama is money against those types.

Dabo with Watson= Jimbo with Winston.
Let's see how he does after Watson is gone.

If beating Bama is a preferential requirement of the interview process then, Hugh Freeze would be their lead candidate.

Last night all but solidified him becoming the Bobby Bowden of Clemson. He's taken them to their first championship in 35 years and 2nd ever.
Why in the world would he want to enter into a post-Saban Bama world? He's got a decade long leash at Clemson. He'll have a 3 year leash tops at Bama.
Alum or not.

Why would Dabo leave for a lesser job?

I would add that after last night, it will be difficult for Bama to not call Dabo when Saban retires.
