For the dude who incited panic, a quick google search shows me that he oculd receive up to 180 days in jail and a $100k fine.

The same should apply to all of those that we're tweeting out that multiple gunshots were going off. Same effect.

Start with that Rivals guy

It should be whoever started the rumors. I admittedly put something like "Second shooter, people are running!" but that was based on what someone who was literally overlooking where it happened was saying.

Whoever is tweeting out casualties needs to have a talking to.

No, you dick.

The panic did happen. People were shouting that there were gunshots. Some dick who incited panic is likely in custody. You don't take masses of people who are running and screaming about a shooter lightly. It's easy to dismiss twitter rumors, but not eyewitness accounts of a mass event.

Oh, so there were gunshots? Because you certainly said there were, after the school said there weren't any

There weren't any gunshots, therefore all of these people are lying

That's what people were running and shouting.

When stuff like that happens, you don't sit on your hands and wait on an official report. You let everyone know what is going on so they can get to safety. Sorry we can't all be stone cold calm when loved ones are in danger.

People on the scene were literally running and screaming and being told to take cover by officials. It's not their fault one guy acted like a dick.

when you get a message from the school that says active shooter on campus, and then every Law Enforcement Unit within 10-15 miles swarms campus, people tend to freak out. Don't be a cocksucker.

The runny/shouty people said they did.

You are taking a rivalry too far right now and are likely a terrible human being.

I'm not being difficult. All I'm saying is that the school comes out and says 'all is well, suspect in custody, there were no shots' but people tweet out 'no there were shots' (just look at the responses to the MarroonAlert tweets.).

I understand taking precautions and spreading the word to be safe, but overreactions by tweets cause more hysteria than they solve.

I'm done

Rivalry has nothing to so with it at all. I'd call dumbasses at OM out in second if they did this too

I just pray we never have to find out how another campus will react to something like this.
