That's still much better than anyone expected them to be in the SEC. They got more wins in their first season than some people were expecting in their first two seasons. Give them time to develop their defense more and their new QB 2-3 years to develop (of course he won't be JFF good though.)

Congrats I guess?? What type of trophy case will A&M build for these accolades??

Exactly.

We're in "become a national power" mode right now. We're nowhere close to being there yet. 2 solid recruiting classes so far, but we eventually need to get it done and win in Atlanta before we can chest-thump about anything. I don't really like these types of threads. All it proves is that we're not there yet. Everybody already knows it. Our excitement from the progress is not shared by the rest of the world.

Not at all. I think having yall in the SEC is great for the conference. I am just saying that with JFF leaving, I am not convinced that the improvement is long term for now. Sumlin let JFF run the show offensively and I think he has a chance to show off his talent as a coach in the next few years. That is all.

Aggies are not going to get many accolades from LSU, just as the Tigers are not going be cited for excellence from A&M. Y'all are natural rivals. It's fun to watch.

Congrats on your first two years in the conference. The future bodes well for the Fightin' Aggies.

Would be interested to see how good A&M would have been with just an average QB (Mccarron or Murray... just to troll).

Not gonna happen. Texas is where freak "one-in-a-lifetime" QBs grow like weeds. JFF, RG3, Luck, Stafford, Young, etc.

We will continue to have the best QB play, and probably the best offense, in the SEC.

I have zero problem giving LSU accolades, where & when they're due.

Two years with JFF and you think that your offense can keep up that pace? You may have good QB play but there are many other talented offensive players, coordinators and teams in the conference.

The SECR narrative about A&M is literally always changing because most of you autists can't even keep up with the progress being made in such a short time.

People are going to hate and say stupid shite but bottom line is A&M has greatly exceeded expectations in their first two years. Once they have a formidable defense, which they will soon with the recruiting hauls, they are legit title contenders.

A $450M upgrade to Kyle field ought to do it.

Yep, which is why championship teams need good enough in a 3 main aspects of football: offense, defense and special teams. JFF obviously didn't have a sufficient supporting cast on defense.
