I'm pretty much at that point too. Kennedy has shaken the joy of college basketball out of me. One tremor at a time.

Rick Stansbury is saving his arse on the recruiting trail is why. Stans wasn't a great head coach -- but he is one hell of a recruiter. Paired with a disciplinarian/X's and O's HC(I have no idea what Kennedy actually is) -- it could be hell on wheels after a little while.

Stans was responsible for getting the talent that took us deep in 95 and 96 and probably could have won it all in 96 with a couple of breaks. He was a great match with Richard Williams' x's and o's and discipline. By himself, not so much. He recruited enough talent to win a shitload of games -- but didn't coach/discipline it well enough when the bright lights came on. Hence one of the worst Sweet 16 droughts in the power conferences...(is it a "power 7" in basketball now?)

Kennedy is NOT a great X's and O's coach. Not even close.

and as was said before the buyout is nothing.

Just in case anyone believes this, here is the actual contract showing that the buyout, if he were to be fired after this season, is $2,250,000.
