Looking at how this thread is going, you should probably just delete it, drink some coffee, wake up a little bit and maybe your posts will become less shitty. Happy Friday!

No dog in the fight but it is a statistical absolute that more plays mean more injuries/ Think/ If the average non-hurry up game has 120 plays and you increase the playcount by 30 using hurry up then every 4 games (by playcount) you have played 5 games/ In a 12 game regular season you will have played 15 games/ If you go to the BCS Champ (with conf champ game included)you play 15 games which puts you at about the equivalent of a 20 game schedule/ Plays cause injuries not games/ Increased plays per season mean more injuries just as sure as rolling the dice more often means you get more snakeeyes

You may be the worst bama poster on site
Auburn definitely huddled and still huddles now in certain situations then runs to line and quick snaps

You're assuming the same players will play all 150 snaps.
Posted on 2/28/14 at 7:16 am to snakeelix
Nobody avg 90 plays last year.

If you're assuming all plays are equal. But hurry up and power smash mouth football are completely different and one causes more injuries than the other. A screen pass blown up by a 170 pound corner isn't the same as what Alabama does. Alabama plays the most dangerous and unsafe football imaginable.

Ok dial it down any way you like more plays will always mean more injuries/ I am not saying do away with hurry up I am just saying that it is dishonest to say that no one should be concerned with that/ Those opposed to hurry-up may be citing injuries simply to bolster their case and are not really concerned with injuries but it does not mean that the concern is not real from a statistical sense/ If you mean that I was saying that one team would run 90 plays I was not/ Iwas saying that the play count for both would increase 15 each

False.

TeLe apparently the NFL does not agree with you as they cite kick-offs as the most dangerous plays from an injury viewpoint hence their efforts to limit kick-off returns/ I should think that spread plays and bubble screens etc would be more analogous to kick-offs than to smash-mouth plays

Very false. More plays means more substitutions and more players playing.
A def playing 60 plays will rotate fewer players than one playing 75 plays. If they don't, the coach is a moron.

Let's cut the game to 8 minute quarters too while we are at it. Maybe we can go back to 11 games and scrap this whole playoff plan too.

I'm not sure why a few of you insist on trying to weakly defend this rule proposal.
Why is saben cowering somewhere and letting his fans grovel for him. If it's such a great rule, let him defend it himself.
He already threw buliema to the wolves with a terrible result.
He's just making you look sad and pathetic.
Oh, and we all know that cristul football is the ONLY thing in life that's important.

Well you're wrong. Smash mouth football is the most dangerous.

Provide the data that nobody else has then.

Well since more play, happens in practice, at an extremely larger amount ,as well as, players are far more exhausted, Practice would be the first place to start. The plays increased in the HUNH ,in game play, in a year, is no where near the amount of plays in practice.
Also, Why dont they use the new helmet covers, in games or practice. it has shown to reduce far more severe injuries than reducing a few added plays.
Blitzing has been proven to cause more injuries, we should ban them.
I could go on here about issues that cause more injuries if you like. But lets not kid ourselves, that this is about injuries

both would increase 15 each
except thats not really happening
