It's a great story about one fan base treating another one decently. It wouldn't even be interesting if not for opposing fans. A different situation completely but in the 2012 NC game the valet at our hotel lost our rental car and we had no way to get to the game when a nice older Notre Dame couple gave me and my son a ride there AND back. I will never forget it and wrote them a nice thankyou letter when I got home.

We'll never see that on tRant. This will be difficult to comprehend for a vocal minority of posters here.

If the parents gave the kids a cell phone & required them to stay in touch during the game, then I guess I won't pile on the parents TOO much. If not, then that was a neglectfully douchey move on their part. Nice story, even though I wouldn't have done the same thing....

Nice story

the more I think about it I wouldn't even call it a nice story. Aside from the clemson parents being outrageously neglectful, thsi bama turd has the audacity to tell this other man's kids what to do and when they are allowed to cheer. He also "huddles" them up and gives them a speech on FREEDOM...they're 6 and 9 man, STFU and let em watch a football game.

$20 it was his kids and they were sitting in a Clemson section.

You gotta pick your battles. Two Clemson kids sat in the Bama fan section, and no one got hospitalized or traumatized...that's a nice story in my book

Totally agree with everything you just posted. I mean, IF the story is true, I'm not blown away by the fact that this man helped look after a couple of kids supporting the other team to some degree. I mean, as a well balanced adult man who was raised correctly, I just kind of expect people to behave in this manner. Maybe to some on this board that is some sort of amazing revelation? So anyway we're just left with this needlessly long self congratulating masterbatory diatribe by some nerd who wants some sort of acknowledgment for not being a total prick. What an unbelievable douche.

People need to stop being such douchebags. I am an AU alum and fan. I know several UA fans who are top flight people and would have done something like this. If you can't fathom a UA fan doing something like this, (whether the story is true or not.), then it speaks about yourself more than anything.

I find it hard to believe that any opposing fan base would give a 6 and 9 year old crap, If anything I'd do the same and make sure no one else tried to mess with them.

Maybe the kids had a phone. Maybe the parents could see them from their seats. My take is that if you're a fan of a sport you take the time to share with a young one the spirit of the sport.
