You have some backwards logic there. You think the B1G championship would have been more relevant with only 2 teams? No, it would have been more relevant with 8 teams because the winner would be in rather than both being out.

We are trying to identify the best team not reward CC's or others that had a good season. That's what the bowls are for.

That's a slippery slope. USC is one of the four best teams in college football right now but they shouldn't be within 10 miles of the playoff.

No more teams. Moving to 4 already is making the CC games irrelevant. Moving to 8 would have Penn St, Michigan, and OSU playing each other again this year. Why the frick do you want that? Do you want Bama to play Florida again in 08' and 09' after our CC?

Why would anyone care?

Rematch games in NCAAB are always fun to see in the tournament among inner conference rivals.

I'd love me some OSU vs Michigan again. That was a hell of a game.

You guys need to go be NFL fans where practically no regular season game matters and where there are no rivalries that come even close to CFB's

also, this is just untrue. Regular season games DO matter in the NFL. The NFL also has significantly more parity than college football, which is good for the sport.

When the 9-7 Giants won the Superbowl, it was awesome.

The only people in the world who don't care about the blatant lack of parity in CFB are Bama and Ohio State fans.

8 team playoff makes the conference championship games more important . I would likely watch the playoffs if it was a 8 team playoff but don't have much interest this year. Do you feel like the top 10 teams that are not in the playoff would have no chance to win an 8 team playoff?

Basketball is totally different. Football takes a lot more preparation and players can get hurt 10x more easily. Ask LSU fans about rematches (i.e. 2011). It makes the first game meaningless. This year everyone would have known the OSU/UM game would be replayed if 8 teams in the PO. So, who cares about the first one?

Right now EVERY GAME MATTERS. That's what makes it so great. Go to the NFL if you want a playoff where no one really cares about a regular season game. No big deal if you lose a game. When was the last time and NFL team went all the way undefeated? (It was 1973) That's because every game doesn't matter.

Under your scenario if Florida had beaten Bama they would have got in. No way in hell they should get in. Same with OU. frick all you average shitty teams. If you lose 3 games you don't even deserve to be in the conversation. If you lose 2 you should barely be.

I don't know why you continue to assume no one cares about regular season games in the NFL. That is just untrue. Your view is certainly not like most NFL fans I know, which isn't surprising since you are a Bama fan. No offense but Bama football is everything to y'all obviously, but plenty of other fans give lots of fricks about the favorite NFL team.
