Alabama may take a step back this season, but it's not something that I'm going to predict.
Losing Josey and the majority of the defense, Mizzou is going to take a step back. Even if Mauk steps in and is immediately an upgrade to Franklin like everyone is predicting (which I don't think is going to be the case anyways), they're going to be hard-pressed to repeat last season. At best they're third in the East, and if UF improves like I think we can, they're fourth.

Is it possible to acknowledge that Auburn had an insane amount of luck last season in close games without things turning into a flame war? Because they did have an insane amount of luck last season in close games. Maybe that'll happen again this season. Maybe they'll improve to the point that they won't be in close games. But realistically, I think they're a three-loss team with average luck.
