I guess he moved his mother to town as a way to say "frick you" to her, huh?

Bama won before Nick Saban and She will win after Nick Saban.

I was born in 75 so I was in kindergarten when Bryant passed, I still remember the teacher telling us (this girl from Canada who lived here because her Dad was a Doctor asked "who is Bear Bryant?", which is probably why I hated her all throughout school). I barely recall Perkins, but I do recall Curry, Stallings & '92 and then tDecline* during Dubose, Francis, Price and Shula (w/ Joe Kines coaching as Interim for a bowl). So going through all that bullshite makes the Saban years that much sweeter than it probably is for someone half my age.

All that being said, as long as he leaves her better than he found her, which won't be hard barring some Penn State type shite, I will thank him, be glad I got to watch him coach, wish him well and remember his era fondly.

But when he leaves, UA will still be one of the top jobs and continue to win, even if she has her bad years, because all of the coaches I listed above that actually coached a game other than A Day (Price) or a bowl (Joe Kines) won at least 10 games during their short stays.

As long as anyone worth a shite replaces him, we will carry on.

I've read that Howard going pro is possible as he is rated as like the 3rd TE in the draft of he goes. I can't imagine he would leave, but a TE plays an important role every play, whether they are catching the ball or just an extra blocker.

Speaking of thankless jobs, Henry owes Nysewander about 10% of his signing bonus.

You hated her for that?? The girl was from Canada. Why TF would she know who Bryant was? Would you know if some great hockey player passed away up there? Or a Canadian football player? Relax bro. He wasn't the President or Pope or something.

I do not think he will leave this year. But he has created such an infallible, dominant team that the amount of disappointment following his tenure will equal all of that good feeling during the title runs.

The sidewalk fans may burn down BD Stadium after the first 4 loss season.

It is going to be a thing of beauty.

I thought this was the year we faced a brutal schedule with an unproven qb and would lose 3 or 4.

So a Clemson fan posts a link that assumes Bama will win. Have Clemson fans already given up on their team?

I was kidding. She was a fat, annoying, pasty white Ginger. That's why she annoyed me. The other part was a joke. Sounds like you're the one that needs to relax. Maybe switch to decaf for awhile.

The experts already congregated last year and declared Alabama's demise and downfall from the college football world, you're a few months late.

Dude, us Bama fans that have been around a while and survived the "Three Mikes of the Apocalypse" will be just fine.

The past 9 years have been unreal and I think any Bama fan will tell you when Mal Moore hired Nick Saban, we all hoped and predicted he would be great for us but I don't think even the biggest Bama homer can tell you with a straight face that any of us predicted the crazy success Saban has had at Alabama.

We'll take a step back - maybe even a huge step back - but we have a great history and almost every Bama coach has had success. Then y'all will go back to that good ole "Bama fans always living in the past" refrain we heard from Stallings to Saban.

We'll be alright.
