Best case scenario is that in 2016 they will let LR keep one game a season.

What the hell? The River Valley is NWA extended and been the money and spokesperson for University in the west part of the state until the influx starting in 2002 or so?

KFSM was the only way people in NWA got any Razorback info back then, as NWA did not have a TV station until 84?

Why would I care about Arkansas Academics and its prowess back then? I mean I knew Ferritor and all that group.

If you werent UBC UMC you were a scrub in the town in those days.

ETA: NWA was the River Valley extended I meant back then.

One game every other year is basically a problem solved.

You act like contracts cannot be changed or renegotiated especially on an incentive bases.

People aren't going to pay premiums without more games on campus. Period. This shite isn't cheap!

Little Rock isnt going to renegotiate until it has to. They have the stroke right now. When the deal is up is when it will change and they will give them 1 every 2 years. The University does not want to get into litigation over a studium in its own state. If the commission was smart they would attempt to sell the damn thing and let the University buy it, but they wont.

If Little Rock didnt have the stroke that gamewould not have been played there. The worst thing ever though is to completely alienate the central and southern part of state by completely cutting them off.

There is a reason they play in Verizon. I still never liked the idea.

Yall have fun discussing this one. I am out of here.

The worst thing about this deal is ot will get like the Nutt deal is someways and all hell is going to break loose before it gets solved. Stephens will make sure of it, just like they did with Nutt.

Again. This would be a win and the new players in the game changed the outcome.

I really don't know how you revert back to this.. How is Tennessee not alienated from Memphis? Fayetteville, Ark is over an hour closer to Memphis than the University of Tennessee yet no problems?

Just because you grew up in Fayetteville and know a few people doesn't make you "in the know" especially when you didn't even go to the University of Arkansas or donate to her. Goodness.

I know the Dillard girls. (Dillard's Department Stores) yet by your assertion that makes me an expert on their competition with Macy's.

Too much. There is nothing fun about writing the check, trust me. It serves business purposes otherwise the money could certainly be spent elsewhere that could provide income..

WMR...

Just stop. Enough is enough.
Games have been there for over a half a century, and will continue through at least 2016 (and probably longer, even if only one).

You're wasting your breath.

Bull shite. There is about 1 murder per year in Fayetteville

There have been at least two in the past three weeks and another suspicious death last night. You must not live in Fayetteville or you do not keep up with the news.

This level of patheticness only has one thing that can cement Arkansas' permanent marginalization from the arrival of the Aggies.

Shocking.

I live in Fayetteville and work at a news station on Dickson St.

You linked to the station I work for.

Also, I said on average. Key word here.

I think they should all be in Fayetteville and I live in central Arkansas, cheering loudly from my "trailer park"

I will say that the bashing of central Arkansas from certain jack arse posters is starting to change my opinion (merely out of spite)

And a lot of NWA fans will still be bashing people from other areas of the state after all the games are moved to Fayetteville. IMO, the problem isn't the stadium in Little Rock.

If people from central Arkansas didn't travel to the Fayetteville games you would have a half empty, smaller stadium than War Memorial.

...and not just central Arkansas fans. It's fans from all areas of the state that aren't NWA. I would rather have all the games in Fayetteville but as I said, Little Rock / WMS is not the problem.

It's the elitist attitude coming from a lot of the NWA fan base. Perhaps they are forgetting that there are an lot of really good potential recruits and others who perhaps don't identify with, share, or appreciate their attitude regarding other regions of Arkansas. And neither do their families.
