Nothing is stopping Little Rock people from making the drive
Pulling games from Little Rock apparently will cause the central Arkansas football market to support Ole Miss or LSU and deplete Arkansas' pipeline to south and eastern talent pools within the state.

I grew up in Fayetteville. Went to school with the Sutton, Holtz, Lindsey kids. But I did not go to U of A,because I followed Jesse Branch and issue with Dean Webber. I came back in 08.

There are many other posts where you have insinuated that the region is not needed nor the stadium.
I thought we have established those regions are losing populations to Central and NWA Arkansas.
I thought it was clear marketing doesn't change with games pulled from WMS as HDTV solves this "problem".
Have you been to Alabama?

Well, I'm out of here. Thanks for the mostly civil conversation and g'nite all!

So you didn't go to Arkansas....
Got it.
Got it.

You think? When was the last time Arkansas lost two major Central Arkansas players before Dyer and Tenpenny?
Both of those were Petrino. Had Bielema been here from the beginning Arkansas probably would have gotten Tenpenny. By the time Bielema got here Saban had already sold himself to Tenpenny's parents (something Petrino didn't even make an attempt to do)
If Petrino was still here Hunter Henry would have gone elsewhere as well. Petrino is a hell of a coach, but he can't get over his own ego when it comes to recruiting.

So, I think I've got it. LR used to be the main $$$ engine for UA, but now NWA is bustling with new $$$ and screaming that they want it all, hence the spat. Really, each side is over playing their hand. For the betterment of the program, the games really should be played in Fayetteville, and quality $$$ from LR probably still need to be taken in (plus I think they just don't want to be forgotten).
There's got to be a way to placate both sides. What about compromising and agreeing to play a baseball series and a basketball game in LR, along with the football Spring Game?

They already play a basketball game and a Baseball game in North Little Rock.

Yep. It's like a completely new campus with all of the changes. Especially since they are now going to redo the Union.
What are they doing to the Union?

They used to play 2 spring games one in LR and one in Fayetteville.

We already do this.
Little Rock was a great place to play back in the day before highways and the advent of things like ESPN when not very game was televised. It allowed everyone in the state the opportunity to see the hogs played.
Now with four lane highways and multiple ESPN channels it is easy to either get to Fayetteville or watch it on TV. Much like the other schools that used to play multi-location games, it is time to pack it up and move back to our true home base.

Adding like four more stories. I believe it's 6 stories total now and they are going to 10.

Did they not also take it toward the stadium also?

Then you'll certainly know Fort Smith has serious old money that dwarfs Fayetteville that is now flooding to the UofA, right?

Until the old guard leaves it wont be solved. For about one more generation.
That is why you throw LR a bone with a game every 2 years. Then you start fazing it out to 1 every 4 years etc.
