Wait til this year when the SEC gets left out. The SEC West destroyed a decade of earned SEC swagger in a single bowl season.

It seems to me that you don't understand that all these losses are coming from in conference. They have to go somewhere. That doesn't just mean you discredit all the wins like lsu A&M auburn etc.

So your argument is that Ohio St, who was undefeated in conference play and lost to Virginia Tech in OOC play... should have been left out of the playoff in favor of Miss St, who was 6-2 in conference and beat UT Martin in conference play?

Boom! Couldn't agree more. BCS wasn't broken aside from the 2 team limitation. BCS formula for identifying the two best teams worked perfectly every year (including 2011). This new formula bombed in its first and only year so far.
Use the old formula to select four or six or eight teams and it would be better than at present, IMO.

It was created to get teams like Notre Dame back in the mix. Hopefully we only have to tolerate it a few more seasons before an expansion to 8.

The final years of the BCS was broken when they went away from the pure computer rankings and let the pollsters influence it more.
