At what point does the sec protest this? How is it fair that Florida state and ohio state can pretty much lock themselves into the playoffs with an easy schedule, while the sec only sends 1 even though they have all the best teams. This is bullshite

To be fair, when the SEC won 7 in a row, then we could make this argument. The SEC has been embarrassed for two seasons in a row.

This will be the first year since Saban arrived in Baton Rouge that a player recruited to LSU didn't win the SEC and play for a National Title.

If a two loss SEC team gets left out then the shite will hit the fan. Assuming the two loss team wins the conference.

we would have a much stronger case if we won it last year.

Allow me to rephrase, which of the following teams, based on resume, would you have selected to the playoffs in place of those in 2014?
11-2 Missouri with a loss to Indiana on their resume
9-3 Georgia, who didn't win their division
10-2 Miss St, who didn't win their division
9-3 Ole Miss, who didn't win their division
Any number of teams that finished worse than 9-3 in regular season play.

I was fine with the BCS, but the thing I absolutely hate with the playoff is the selection committee. We've basically taken the vote from the many and given it to a select few, and some of them probably know less about football then the average fan.
