Glad to hear it's just a bunch of non-sense.
What's the point of having team colors if your uniforms are just gonna be whatever hell colors you want?
Waters down a program's identity and brand.
Oregon began doing that crap because they HAD no identity to water down to even begin with and Oregon's athletic program is pretty much a slave to Nike anyway.
This type of gimmick crap is for small time schools with no tradition.

I get that. But the whole "it's gimmick" and "Oregon is a slave to Nike" rhetoric is so old at this point. Clearly they are doing something that is working.
