They'll applaud our lack of cold beer and sunday sales.

Nothing a little ice in the cooler can't fix.

Yeah I don't even notice it anymore. When I go home and buy beer I'm shocked when I discover it's already cold

Same here. I can't wait to get up there this weekend though. Cold beer or not.

I'm just pissed there isn't no baseball. The one weekend I'm able to get up there and baseball is on the road.

They survived Nawlin's, I'm sure they'll be able to handle "the Grove"....
Well maybe not!

I'll be interested to hear some comments on their trip.

Man that's so orginal. Seriously I have never heard that joke before nor did any OM fans make that joke earlier in this thread.

Is State gonna have something similar to this for Nick Bell?
A different person wore his jersey each game last year. Maybe that will continue. But I don't know. I hope the do something.

I like how y'all blacked out the hash marks on the 36 (?) yard lines. Nothing flashy but still gets the point across

You Rebs know we Hogs give you lots of grief for the stuff that goes on at OM. I enjoy getting my jabs in as much as anyone. That said, the way you honor Chucky and a rising senior at the same time is cool. It's the best tradition you have. I know it is born out of tragedy, but it is a great way to bring something positive out of it.
This one hits particularly close to me because I broke my neck on a football field (cervical vertebra #3) in 1985. Fortunately I was not paralyzed, but any time I see a neck injury on the field, I get flashbacks.
Glad to see #38 will be on the field again. Still hope we whip y'all like rented mules, but kudos for one of the best traditions in football.

Sometimes, we all get our priorities completely out of whack.

I met him one night at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center at a 'Sun-Belt' tourney game in '91.
That guy and the whole ordeal touched me like few sports related episodes. I remember when I picked up the paper a few months later and saw he died, I just burst into tears. Secretary and co-workers came into my office like 'what the hell?'
I HIGHLY recommend a book by Larry Woody of the Nashville Tennessean called "A Dixie Farewell"
Its not only about Mullins but the incredible friendship he and Vandy's Brad Gaines formed.
