How long is Florida going to keep scheduling these marquee games? Is White's recruiting going to keep y'all "in the game"?

Too early to judge his recruiting.

We picked up two key transfers this week:

Jalen Hudson from VA Tech, 6-5 Guard. Will sit out 2016 season and have 2 years of eligibility left.

Canyon Barry, grad transfer from Charleston, 6-6 Guard, immediately eligible, averaged 19.7 PPG last season.

BFR and Devon Walker transferred after the season.

I expect UF to make the NCAA tournament next season. Only lose 1 key contributor, Dorian Finney-Smith. Could lose DRob if he decides to keep his name in the NBA draft, but hes been overrated coming out of high school. High ceiling and great athleticism, but nowhere close to living up to that.

Interested in who Mississippi State brings back and who what their OOC schedule looks like. I thought Howland did a good job last year, getting their team to play competitive. For sure, he'll have them competing in March Madness when he gets his players. I know he already has a good recruiting class coming in, so it'll be interesting to see what he can do next season.

Auburn too with Bruce. I know they dealt with injuries and Canty being a pain in the arse, but they were doing pretty good up until their team imploded.

The perception of SEC basketball is struggling mightily. Got to improve all around if we want more than 3 teams getting in each year.

Avery is the second highest paid coach behind Cal, does this mean y'all are going to keep his seat warm and expect quick results?

I honestly didn't realize he was the 2nd most paid coach in the league. I'd love quick results, but I think he'll be given a fair amount of time to succeed, despite his pay. I won't lie and say that I don't expect better results this upcoming season. He set the bar last season when he showed that he can take a lesser talented team and get them on the verge of a bubble. Of course by the end of the regular season, they fell apart, but it was fun watching them beat Notre Dame, Wichita State, and even Texas A&M.

I think Avery will have success here if he just continues to show to improve every season. Last year was fun, despite the finish. Now he needs to show with a better roster that he can go the next step.

Wish we could have kept Ferguson, but still will have a good player in Braxton Key coming in, and then JUCO signee Ar'Mond Davis.

At one time Kentucky and Samford had a 3 for 1 in the works for Scott Padgett and Martin Newton.Calipari wants to play the Birmingham game at the BJCC but for some goofy reason Samford hinted at playing on campus -- maybe 5,000. Do you know where that stands?

Any idea who we'll be hosting in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge? Hopefully it'll be KU. I'd love for the Cats to put another beatdown on Self and those pretenders.

We play at Minnesota and we play Texas in Houston. I think those are the only confirmed games for Arkansas so far. We should be a little more competitive this year since Kingsley is coming back. Hopefully the JUCO's live up to the hype, too.

Not a bad schedule at all

Those away games to small instate schools like ETSU, can be more challenging than people think.

Definitely getting better.

I wish we had a schedule like our 07-08 OOC schedule every year

vs. Temple (55)
vs. West Virginia (Prudential Center, Newark, NJ) (22)
vs. Texas (Prudential Center, Newark, NJ) (9)
vs. Western Kentucky (Bridgestone Arena, Nashville, TN) (37)
@ Xavier (18)
vs. Gonzaga (Key Arena, Seattle, WA) (27)
vs. Ohio State (30)
@ Memphis (2)

Robinson already withdrew.

I was very skeptical of his recruiting, but the 2017 class is nice so far. I still expect nothing of the 2016 class (Hester might be a decent four-year guy), but White has shut me up a bit.

This year's team should be very good.

Hill/Chiozza/Hester
Allen/Barry
Leon/Barry
Robinson/Stone
Egbunu/Hayes/Gak

No reason to not get an SECt bye and a comfortable spot in the field.

It will be Kansas or West Virginia. They always match 1 v 1, 2 v 2, etc. Kicker is the tie we had with A&M though. I would think that the fact that we're Kentucky, that we won the SECT, that Kentucky - Kansas is a rivalry game, and that it will generate a lot more TV interest rather than yet another Hatfield - McCoy game with West Virginia, will send the Mountaineers to College Station and the Jayhawks here for us to whip that arse.

That's an awesome schedule. There really is no excuse for not scheduling a good slate of teams. There really is no downside. Even if you lose its better than beating some garbage team.
