I know we're all gearing up for Hoover and then the desolate wasteland that is June and July until kickoff, but in true Kentucky fashion I'm looking ahead at our schedule and am curious as to what marquee OOC games are already on the docket for basketball season.

Kentucky has Louisville, UCLA, North Carolina, Michigan State and Arizona State already set. What about the rest of y'all?

Hard to do with this with schedules not being released yet

I know Bama plays Texas this upcoming season, but not much after that. Avery Johnson said we should have a pretty good home schedule.

That's actually brutal. Who the hell gave you that schedule. But on one hand, if you just get .500 that catapults you bigtime.

I miss the old days when MSU gave you a run for the money in conference play. I think Howland is going to get us back in a couple of years and those meetings will be fun again.

For A&M so far:

11/18 - USC Trojans
11/24-27 - Wooden Legacy (Anaheim)
12/17 - Arizona Wildcats
1/?? - SEC/B12 Challenge

What he said. A&M plays USCw. I don't think anything else has been determined yet (including SEC schedule).

SEC schedule isn't out yet, yes. But the big time games are already announced, not all dates set in place. I'm just curious as to whom some of the big names are.

Alabama's may not be, however there is a daily treatise about what Nick Saban ate for breakfast on al.com

I thought MSU/UF would play in GNV this year, but looks like that'll be in 2017-18. I know there's supposed to be a 3 city tour with UNC/TEX/MSU/UF in NYC, Chicago, and LA around that time.

Other things for UF:
@FSU, Old Spice Classic in Orlando, @B12 Team

Florida plays Duke in the Jimmy V classic in NYC.

I think Michigan State also takes a return trip to Gainesville.

And the usual FSU game.

We have some others, but thats what I remember off the top of my head.

@ Texas
@ Oregon
vs Dayton
Vs Clemson

Then Avery said we should be adding someone else that will be big, just not announced yet. Would be nice to play Wichita State again. Played Wichita State every season since the NIT Championship and most of them have gone down to the wire.

We'll have two games at Legacy Arena again in Birmingham. Should have beaten Oregon there last year.

The University of Mississippi has a lot more than football in front of them.

If you're not interested in engaging the thrrqd question then simply don't post in the thread and move on about your business, goodness.

How long is Florida going to keep scheduling these marquee games? Is White's recruiting going to keep y'all "in the game"?

Billy D was a proponent of this scheduling, although he took it light one year.

It's hard, but I don't mind the strong OOC SOS.

That's a pretty big test for Mikey White in his 2nd year. Donovan loved the marquee games when he was at UF. Remember the home-home series you guys had Ohio State, then playing the likes of Georgetown to open the season. Looks like White will just continue that.

I agree. All member schools need to elevate their OOC schedule and help boost our conferences image. Need to take the exact opposite approach we do with football.

We've done H/H with OSU, Kansas, MSU (back in the early 2000s). Donovan used to play some small schools like Providence, Yale, Rutgers, etc. on the road because we had some players from that part of the country.

I'd like to see more H/H in CBB, but otherwise, I'm glad a lot of these programs are doing some of these tournaments to play name teams and such.

Didn't he schedule games in a senior's home state or something to that effect? Classy move if so.

We always played in the sunrise center (near FLL), and I believe we had a few guys from there. Like I mentioned in a previous post, some guys were from CT or NJ and we've done road games that way.

I'm not sure if UF has done any CBB games on the west coast recently.
