I want to say 2015 because of more offensive talent but I give the edge to 2011 really because of one thing and that is special teams.

Right now we suck at field position too much to win.

A team is made up of more then a defense. I just really think we are still a ways from peaking. As of right now, the 2011 would kick our arse most likely. I'm most likely wrong so who gives a frick lol

The 2011 Alabama team would work our team this year, too.

Our 2011 team also happened to beat that Alabama team.

HOLY shite
Yes TM7 was great but without him we still were great. Do you not remember Ron Brooks filling in for TM7 and having a TM7 type game?
2011 defense
Brockers
Logan
FERGUSON
MINGO
Montgomery
Ron Brooks
Tharold simon
Eric reid
Brandon Taylor
Minter
Freak Johnson
Rasco

2015 doesn't come close to that

2 of the 3 phases of football were far superior in 2011.
Our defense and special teams in 2011 were far superior to 2015 and it's not close.
Our 2015 offense is better but our 2011 offense had decent offensive numbers outside of the seccg and bcscg.
lsu was ranked 17th in the country in offensive points per game in 2011

If it were tied, yes.

People act like our offense in 2011 was putrid but it wasn't. Lsu was top 30 in every major offensive statistic.
While our 2015 offense is better than our 2011 offense, the gap isn't as big as the gap between our 2015 defense and 2011 defense and our 2015 special teams and 2011 special teams.
Our 2011 defense and 2011 special teams are easily top 3 in lsu history.

2011 had the much better defense but our offense is so much better than 2011. So far we are averaging over 100 yards more per game than 2011. Our rushing offense is much better and the difference in passing from 2011 is pretty small.

Turnover margin, time of possession, sacks are about the same.

To me, it really comes down to star power and special teams. Fournette and Mathieu are the two greatest Tigers to ever put on the uniforms so they are really a push at this point. The only thing this team lacks over 2011 is special teams.

What? Our defense has given up at least 17 points to every team this year. Our 2015 is no where near as good as our 2011 defense. We also played better offenses in 2011.

I'm sorry. That's not what I meant. Of course 2011 is superior but I meant when tipping the scales. 2011 just had better special. Took pride in it, perfect combination of going for the knockout while staying in their lanes. It was a thing of beauty.

2011 LSU is a no brainer, that was a top 10 CFB team all time IMO

2010 was talented but erratic, it could go either way vs, 2015. Now 2011 would beat 2015 by 24 points.

Ok but IMO the gap between our 2011 offense and our 2015 offense isn't as big as the gap between our 2011 defense and our 2015 defense. Our 2011 defense is vastly superior to our 2015 defense. Our 2011 special teams is vastly superior to our 2015 special teams.
While our 2015 offense is superior to our 2011 offense, the gap isn't huge. Outside of this passed Saturday our 2015 qb play was significantly worse than our 2011 qb play which was pretty efficient even when JJ began to start. JJ'S 2011 stats are 6tds-1 int and a qb rating of 138.
2011 lsu offense was 17th in the country in offensive points per game with 32 offensive points per game
2015 lsu is 17th in the country in offensive points per game with 35 points per game
