Maybe they are one of the best teams in the "1 or 2 years in college then NBA" era.

Also this "greatest team ever" is in a 3 point ball game at home against a team that lost to MSU. That's bad. Real bad.

SEC play is about grinding out games against bad teams.

You're proving how dumb your basketball knowledge is. Best to leave this to people who actually know a little bit.

A. The game is in Rupp
B. SEC basketball is a joke. Especially the bottom of the barrel such as Vandy. They lost to MSU who is a complete dumpster fire.

They won back to back overtime games which is good but great teams don't usually get into that situation. Who was the best team ever prior to this season and let me look at their stuff?

Vandy isn't that bad. Every basketball team has an off game every now and then. LSU had no business losing to Mizzou. Vandy is better than you give them credit for.

SEC basketball isn't as bad as fans of terrible teams think it is. That's how it goes every year. Also, I'm sure Kentucky fans don't really give two shits about a mid season game against Vandy. It doesn't mean anything.

That's not how college basketball fans work. Seriously, losing a home game to vandy would get talked about for years. Home games are more stressful than road games

If you are trying to make the case that you are the best team ever, you should care. I agree that the SEC isn't that bad. The teams that get into the NCAA tourney do very well.

SEC basketball is not good. There might be only 3 tournament teams in the whole conference.

No. What would (will) get talked about is whether or not Kentucky wins the NC. No one will remember a January conference game in a couple years.

Never said it was. I said it's not as bad as fans of bad teams (ie. YOU) think it is. It's your security blanket.

Notice that no Kentucky fan in this thread said they were.

No they really would, I promise. When you are Kentucky, every team on your schedule circles you. That is a cliche, but it matters.

When you only lose 8 home games every 10 years or whatever, they all get remembered. And that fan base in particular almost never forgets. Hell if Kentucky goes on to win the natty, any team that beats them regardless of location will remember it for years. These games matter.

Their 1996 team would beat this year's team.

I think 2012 would too. But that's debatable.

Doing well in the tourney doesn't mean the conference is good. It's great that SEC teams have done well in recent years, but the tourney is all about who is hot at that given time.

Hell the C-USA has had success in the tournament. The same teams from that conference doing well in the tourney wouldn't even make the tourney if they were in other conferences.

Only to the underdog. I promise you Kentucky fans don't care about dropping a conference game they shouldn't, as long as the end goal is met. People would remember, but it wouldn't really matter in any meaningful way.

This game was never in doubt for UK, BTW.
