If it wasn't for the Byzantine back room politics in the Auburn AD at the time he may have stayed much longer.

Both were great at Ole Miss but Tuberville underachieved toward the end and never went above a mediocre record. Hugh has surpassed all expectations and has a stable team prepped for longterm success. Hugh is a better coach by far.

I don't think you read the OP. It's comparing TT's first 4 years at auburn, not comparing HF and TT at ole miss

The winner.



Tubby got complacent at the end and had some consistency issues, but overall, I think he was clearly the better coach.
