Figured someone would eventually bring up Venables.
Unfortunately, I happen to know he told the higher ups at Clemson he has no intentions of leaving there til his kids finish school. He would be a grand slam hire though, IMO. He is a very, very good coach.

Venables is from this area , too, and has applied for the job twice. It's actually one of the 5 or so schools he'd leave for.
And we got Terry Don on the ground there to carry on the needed convos.
Would LOVE to get Venables, but do we call him Bert, too?

If they can get him, that'd be great. I personally won't believe it til I see it. One thing is for sure, Arkansas would play tough defense.

If this is true then we know at least 1 head coach that will be fired before the end of the year .
