Well once McElwain started coaching at Millsaps College you could deduct his 200K salary from annual buyout.

Not that it's saying that much when the SEC CG 's results are factored in, but his gators have won the East 2 yrs in a row. Hard to fire a HC with that kind of "success" if I was the gator A.D.

This guy staying at my hotel over the weekend was outside at 2am drunk as piss. He was telling me that the boosters are obviously very upset with the progress of the offseason and they are actively looking for funds for a buy-out. This guy's dad is apparently a high flyer within the organization.

A lot of the big boosters were staying at my hotel in Dallas...

The sentiment from them was change MUST be made at OC ASAP or McElwain gets canned. Plain and simple. You'd think that message would get to him fairly easily, but, he may just be like "frick you, pay me." He's already an arse hole to work for (from those that I know that actually do work with him day in and day out), so frick him if he won't change OC.

And thanks. We should be fine this far inland but who the hell knows. We're prepared either way.

You better hope you find a way to come up with the money. At this rate you will be lucky to be the #4
team in Florida.

Different people have different definitions of "big"

I doubt the big boosters at your hotel influence very much in the Athletic Dept.

Boosters that move the needle are big enough to fly in and out same day, not stay at a team hotel bitching about the staff to other fans at the bar

There were at least 10 bullgators there ($20,000 donation required).

I know what you're saying though, that's a drop in the bucket compared to some of the donors that give millions.

They didn't become rich by wasting money on private planes. Probably left the day before in their prius and stayed at the value inn.

And more than likely have something named after them on campus.

That's always kinda funny: there could be 10 very wealthy, very influential men in the room. Men who are used to getting their way 99% of the time. And then a legit whale enters the scene and the whole dynamic changes. Those 10 powerful men become invisible

He's won the east his first two years

He lost 4 games in each season, getting blown out in 6 of them.

He's now 19-9 at UF with 7 blowout losses...and an offense which has continually done absolutely nothing with major QB problems each season. Some of their fans are starting to see the writing on the wall. His poor recruiting up to this point is really caught up to them now and the defensive side will start to deteriorate this season.

Ouch! The state representatives will definitely weigh in on keeping him in place regardless.

UF doesn't accept public funding. So no.

Cheer up.

Your $15M coach has two East titles. Ours has rings from the Texas and Liberty Bowl.

However, yours is 0-1 against ours, so there's that...

Honestly, not a week ago yall were the exact opposite.

You had, what, a dozen players suspended for the Michigan game?

You need a chill pill
