Bama is shooting 28% from 3 pt for the year and none of their outside shots are even close in this game. Why do you think they will be a good outside shooting team?

Georgetown is schooling them into a Big East style of game...and Bama does not know how to respond.
Bama maybe a tad soft...and if they can not hit beyond the 3 arch, then the paint is not opening up.
Yeah, if we can't knock some down, they arent gonna respect our jumper and the bottom is gonna stay tight as a drum. We need to get in some more fast break situations too to get some momentum and get this crowd back in it. The student section loves coast to coast breaks and we need some noise in Coleman right about now.

I do too, which is why I don't understand how the hell they are coming close to airballing half of their shots. Shooting a basketball isn't rocket science. It doesn't make much sense that having the 3 point line moved back a foot and playing on a different team would suddenly make these kids shoot like a bad girls middle school team.

Because we have 2, possibly 3, guys that are VERY good, if not great shooters. They just have been off on their timing in a few games this season. If they can ever get a good rhythm and get their timing together, they should be a VERY good shooting team before the year is out.
Timing is all about repetition.

This this and this
I agree but we're taing low percentage contested 3's. Ones where we're just heaving it up at the end of the shot clock. We need Releford to get in the paint and dish. I will guarantee that the 2nd half plan will not look like the 1st.

1. If you can not get a rebound from the offensive set, then forget about the fast break...Hoyas are killing you on the glass.
2. Big East style=grind it out...they will spread you out and put up a shot...better hope Green starts hitting the boards better and get a mean streak.
3.Until you hit some 3's, you can forget about the noise in Coleman...got to hit one and hope it catches on.

Maybe that put back by Mitchell will get the crowd back into it

Don't they usually run a little bit? I'v been really impressed with how athletic they look this year running the court and they seem to be slowing it down so much this game.....?

Bama fans, did you ever think the Hoyas are playing some kick arse defense?
Main reason why you guys are chucking some shitty shots...plus they are cleaning the glass.

Thats the fast break I was talking about. Listen to that crowd!!!

georgetown has been playing good defense, but it seemed like we didn't even try to break it in the first half.

Several Bama fans have posted about the D the Hoyas are playing

3 I believe.
The alley oop, the put back, and that fast break dunk.

Hopefully that will get Mitchell's head in the game for the 2nd half. He always needs to throw down a couple of dunks or make a 3 early on to get on track.
