Just think about 11 years ago from next season's perspective...

-the high school seniors would have been 7 years old
-hardly anyone had heard of an ipod or an iphone
-gas prices were right at around $2.00
-best picture was million dollar baby
-Bush was only halfway done with his presidency
-the major news outlets were dominated by hurricane katrina
-steve spurrier and les miles had just began their current jobs, urban meyer was still in the league, and nick saban wasn't
-the SEC hadn't began it's streak of national titles
-Nobody had ever heard of breaking bad, and the characters in LOST had never ventured past their original wreckage spot

11 years....that's how long it will be before Auburn even has it's next ATTEMPT at beating georgia in athens. With the way recent history has gone, no telling how long before this streak ends.

Haven't five of UGA's six biggest rivals all won national championships since they last did?

Auburn: 2010
Clemson: 1981
Florida: 2008
Georgia: 1980
Georgia Tech: 1990
South Carolina: lol
Tennessee: 1998

I can't deny any of the above information. I knew all that already. Just wanted to point out the interesting factoid in the OP.

The funny thing is... you just pointed out the year of UGA's last SECC.

When I was reading your post, OP, I was wondering what you were trying to get and and then right there it was...lol.

I will give you respect for at least trying to rile up some Auby fans today.

Yes I know, but it's much harder to win an SEC title than it is to win on an opponents field that you play at every other year.

I'll take a 11 year losing streak in Athens if it means 3 sec titles and two MNC games within that period.

Lets start by getting them to play 4 Q's in Sanford, lately they'll barely play 3 then quit. UGA should discount the AU ticket IMO.

Think about this and post it on a map. Since UGAs last NC, the eight closest Major DI Schools to the Athens Campus, seven of them have won NCs. They include Clemson, Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Florida and Florida State. That just leaves USC as the only one left. Now lets talk about underachieving.

damn good point. When was the last time AU even had a puncher's chance in the 4th quarter?

14- no
11- no
09- yes
07- not really
05- yes
03- no

Something must get in their heads when they get on the field in athens.
