that had the potential for disaster, it got even worse once the players started destroying lockers.

Laugh now but next year you will find out that the $10000 locker investment will narrow the deficit with that powerhouse Kansas.

Jayhawks are nervous.

Not even sure this is good for recruiting. Some families/kids will go for the flashy stuff, but there are a bunch that won't. Taking my kid on recruiting visits and seeing this would be a major turn off for us. It's unnecessary; doesn't help their growth as an athlete, person, or student. Wasting money isn't a good lesson for college age kids these days. Hopefully, more mature kids will see through the gimmick.

I do get concerned about all these facilities improvements that have nothing to do with improvements on the field, but that they might affect a prospective recruit. Obviously at Vandy, we will always be way behind in the facilities race (except for baseball) because we flat out won't spend anything on water falls or lazy rivers or TVs in every locker, even if we had the money. I just want Vandy to spend money on the stuff that is needed by the players and coaches. This other stuff is stupid.

$10k for a drink cooler with some steel filling cabinets stuffed inside and a $200 monitor from best buy. These are really, really dumb and ugly. Tom Herman is a dumbass

I'm assuming they are all at champion level now. If Herman wants to join that arms race.. "clean" piss will be stocked in each locker weekly.

with all due respect and we agree on most points after the first sentence...

these changes in no way shape or form are intended for you, me or our kids... it's a home run for the intended target tho.

The wolves in Austin are hungry, Herman was brought in and will be supported to make changes that will actually provide an oppty to get back to winning championships.

Academics, real student athletes, making tons of money and winning championships are a tough combination.

We'll see if the support is on the right page and if Herman is the guy.
