Steve Kragthorpe, Louisville. He really fricked up what Petrino left him. Great guy, awful hire
Admittedly, I don't follow Louisville football too closely, but I don't know if that should be laid at Kragthorpe's feet. When Petrino left Arkansas, our program promptly took a nosedive as well.
It's my opinion that very few coaches, if any, can follow in Petrino's footsteps and have success. And I think it's because 1. Petrino is a genius level playcaller, and 2. Petrino sacrifices talent on the back half of his defense for more skill position players. It's as if his entire gameplan is to get teams into a shootout and win the game by scoring every time he touches the ball.
It works more often than not, but he struggles with well balanced, talent laden teams. This year, Louisville, for instance, will struggle mightily with Clemson and Florida State. Louisville will probably finish 3rd in the ACC.

Fran has to be top 5.
Took a program that had been rolling for 15 years, including 7 conference titles in that time, and promptly turned it into a bottom feeder. It took Sherman years to rebuild the program's broken relationships with high school coaches around the state.
