Exactly. I actually somewhat had that season in mind when I posted earlier.

obviously you know who the previous 5-10 champions are...but if you're going to every one of your home games, would you trade one for four years of misery? how many losing seasons would you sacrifice for a championship?

Bama fans cannot answer your question. It's too far fetched of a scenario.

ok edit: this does not apply to Bama fans because this scenario is arguable more mythical than a MNC...so the question is, starting today, which would you rather have?

I'll be comfortable if we don't win another championship for the next 8 years or so. Some (unreasonable) fans are "NC or failure of a season". I HATE to look at it that way.

2010 was great and I think better than most NC years for most due to all the close games, AU not being very good the two years before and it seeming to come out of nowhere, the Camback, all the Cam BS attacks, and some validation (in my mind) for the 2004, 1993, and 1983 seasons - all of which could be called NC seasons.

But right now, I'll take the 10-2 seasons for sure. I would get a lot more enjoyment out of all the big wins against LSU, Bama, UGA, etc over that time period than another NC.

Mythical, mythical and mutha ***king mythical.

Do you believe that OSU's 2001 or whatever was legit? How about all the MNCs won by the PAC 8 and Big Ten when the SEC was shunned.

It is an inherently flawed system and therefore it remains mythical. Don't be a hypocrite.

It's tough. But I'll take the title. People remember titles, not losing.

Maybe I'm just one who remembers people losing, because I really do. I don't look and think about Georgia Tech winning the title in 1990. I think about how awful they were around the time they won the title

So are you asking if we would rather be Georgia or Auburn?

As much as I resent this it's exactly what I thought to begin with. I mean my quote on CNBs sig basically is my answer to this question

I'll assume her sister looks pretty hot too so easily the second option. I don't care how famous a girl is, I just want hot.

MNC.

10-2 seasons bring you a lot of "if only" or "what if" conversations. An MNC brings nothing but good memories and "good ole days" conversations.

In five years, I will never again talk or care about 09, 11, or 12. I will however be talking about 10 for the rest of my life.

10-2 seasons are more likely to push ticket sales than 1 title and 4 losing seasons.
