What does the gap in projected victory margin really say about the teams and their rankings?

Does LSU cover the spread?

[#1 vs. #2 (Bama -5)]

It means the oddsmakers believe that with the line at LSU -12.5, half of the nation's money will be put on LSU, and the other half on Arkansas.

Bama killed us, you beat Bama...logical spread for the public. However football is played on the field, not on paper.

Honestly think it will settle closer to 10. Didn't it open at 14?

Yes and it's 13 or 12.5 now, which is about right.

Interesting that you say that because I keep seeing alot of "3 of the last 4 years" and how pretty your offensive stats are from Ark fans. No mentions the defensive stats, sacks allowed, turnover margin, QB hits, etc.

Is your position only when it is in your favor?

I ask because right before "3 of the last 4 years", LSU had won 4 Straight games against Ark spanning 2003 - 2006.

Why do Ark fans stop at the four years ago mark?

Could still move a point or so, being the only decent game on Friday. Literally everyone that bets will be wagering on this game, and most people like double digit dogs

Plus we got dat wood

Vegas believes that bettors feel about as comfortable with an LSU win over Arky as they did with an Arky win over MSU.

I don't see it moving 2.5 points in the next 24 hours. Either way, I was merely pointing out that the pointspread is not the oddsmakers' prediction of how much we will win by, but rather the oddsmakers' prediction/anticipation/reaction regarding how much the betting public thinks we will win by.

Oh maybe cuz your fanbase acts like Arkansas (sitting at #3 in the BCS) has no shot whatsoever.
