Saw that, JD. Cool flick. That's the kind of movie I like. Not all this cop, crash and shoot, unrealistic BS that sheep watch. I like to think while I watch.

Got Birdman. Hope it doesn't suck.

I doubt many here have heard of this but I find it fascinating. There's a Scottish movie called Filth on Netflix with James McAvoy and Jamie Bell. I quite like it it's about a less than moral detective on a murder investigation. Really pitch black. Starts out as a comedy and turns into a drama. I quite like it.

When Trumpets Fade is a TV war film from 1998 directed by John Irvin, produced byJohn Kemeny and written by W.W. Vought. It is based on a true story of the Battle of Hürtgen Forest in Autumn of 1944 duringWorld War II. A few days later, the Battle of the Bulge began, leaving the battle of Hürtgen Forest largely forgotten.
When Trumpets Fade.........imo, one of the 3 best war flicks ever produced.

1) Birth of a Nation (silent film)
2) Gods and Generals
3) Apocalypse Now
3.5) Platoon

If you've never seen Downfall, DO IT!!! One of the only foreign films I've ever seen that gripped me to the point that I didn't give a shite I was reading a screen . apocalypse should be on my list.
