Mississippi State and Ole Miss are interchangeable. Missouri is in there as well.
Oklahoma and ND are too high, Kentucky a little too low, and A&M should be in top 10.

okayyyyyy....
Top 5 facilities in the nation
+ 5 million per year
yea, A&M in the middle of Houston and Dallas for recruiting plus all the above definitely makes them a terrible job destination...
you're right

I would go USC ahead of Texas. Better conference, sexier schedule, LA. As a Texas fan and student, it's always such a let down when I get my season tickets and I look at a home schedule filled with duds.
eta - Alabama over Texas as well. Tougher conference and sexier schedule makes the job more challenging and exciting.

Notre Dame
The only one that doesnt belong to me. I dont even know if I have them in the top 20 anymore. It is all about ease in recruiting these days now that everyone is all in and on the national scene

A&M and South Carolina are too high.
No one has even had sustained elite success at either school.

They are going off recent success a little too much. OU is a top 5 job.

Not sure I would put Bama in the top two, top 5 for sure, but those west coast gigs are nice. To those saying Bama will take a huge dive after Saban, all you need to do is look at LSU to see how foolish this is. He will leave the new coach the most talented roster in the nation, insane facilities and the top brand name in the country. A monkey could be our next coach and we could average 10 wins a season for 4-5 years with mediocre recruiting. Nobody will expect the next guy to be a legend, but with the structure in place he should/will put a top 10 product on the field pretty much every year and make a title run every so often. I am good with that as is 98 percent of our fan base.

Why have yall never won jack then?
Or even appeared in a BCS bowl. It's a crappy culture there, its not elite.

recent success is all kids care about though. And recruiting is a big part of a HC gig.

OU used to be a top 5 job, now not so much. Really think being in the top 10 for them is generous.

Who do you put them above?
They are one of the most fragile Elites out there. If they make the wrong hire after Stoops, they could go to the shitter for a decent stretch.

I personally don't think Alabama, UGA, UF, LSU, or A&M are that discernible in terms of "inherent" ability.

Don't post if you don't know.
A&M played in the first BCS Sugar Bowl.

I think after Saban leaves that Bama won't be as attractive of a job. He's just been too damn good, and the fan base won't accept anything less IMO. Of course they have the recognition and prestige, but I think the coach after Saban is going to really have his hands full trying to meet expectations.
I don't see the job being unattractive after Saban. I do see the next coach failing and being fired rather quickly. Which is why I want Dabo. He can recuit with the best of them so at least our cupboard will be full for the guy after him. Dabo can be our sacrafical lamb while keeping the talent up to snuff.

idk
I just feel like I'd personally rather go build something else then try to live up to unreasonably high expectations by following tGOAT
I also think Dabo would crush at Alabama

Prestige prestige blah blah..if you were a major coach looking for a job, would turn down A&M for ND? ND wouldn't be in my top 20 and maybe not top 25.

Probably one of the better lists like this I've seen. I'd maybe swap Auburn with Oklahoma or Notre Dame though.
