Honestly don't know anything about him and had never heard of him until you guys started discussing him to be your OC.

Seems like a football lifer guy that I assume will do what Butch wants on offense. But, he's going to be calling plays and that's a pretty big deal regardless of how much terminology and strategy you keep the same.

You guys comfortable with this?

Mike Bajakian sucked arse but I don't know if this is an upgrade. Underwhelming hire for sure but I'll wait and see. LSU hired Kevin Steele as DC after all.

I'm not surprised, I'll take a wait and see approach.

He's coached a long time but he appears to have only been a play caller for 5 years : 1997-1999, 2006-2007.

1997 Michigan 12-0 AP #1
1998 Michigan 10-3 AP #12
1999 Michigan 10-2 AP #5
2006 Michigan 11-2 AP #8
2007 Michigan 9-4 AP #18

He's like the Michigan version of David Cutcliffe. Michigan offense was good while he was there, sucked when he left, and good again when he came back. Cutcliffe is old too but he still has many years left in him.

At least now I understand why they waited until after NSD to announce it. It's a really bad hire.

Wait and see approach with Butch Jones turned out great. Hopefully DeBord offense tears shite up. He has tons of weapons to work with. One thins is for sure, Mike Bajakian needed to go eventually.

Wouldn't go that far. Cutcliffe is an offensive genius.

DeBord's offenses appear to be have above average. Not amazing but not terrible.

I am going to hold off judgment until I see his product on the field.

I think it is CBJ's offense anyways.
