It's comparable to Derek Dooley's (as a HC), and that's saying something

fair enough, but at least CBJ has a win against a team that finished #4 in the country

Well since LSU, guess I have no business in this thread

Newton was the best player in the SEC in a long, long time.
Go look at the roster around Newton compared to what Tebow had at Florida.
Sums up about everything. It is Cam all day.

Ryan Mallett
No one else can stretch the field as far and most of the others were really just glorified RB's.

If judging QBs by championships . . .
For one year, obviously Newton.
For a career - McCarron and Tebow are pretty close.
Manzeil was a great college QB, no denying it. But, ya know, douchebag and never won anything.

I don't know how anybody could pick anybody other than Cam. The Iron Bowl alone should be enough evidence, but then he went and won a NC.

It was only 1 season, and Dyer was the mvp in that title game.

I realize that Darren McFadden didn't officially play QB but was pretty damn good at it whenever he did take a snap.

Ethan Flatt. Its not even close.
ETA: shite, he was 2005. Its a tie between Zach Stoudt and Brent Schaeffer then.

Serious answer: Cam Newton.

The question asks for quarterback and so I have to go with Newton. We all know he was a way better passer than was Tebow and one's all-time dream football team probably isn't going to be running the wishbone.
That said, I wouldn't mind putting together a team of 24 Tim Tebow clones. Pretty sure if you'd asked that kid to punt, kick, tackle, deep snap, whatever, he would've done his damnedest to do it and to get it done right. So he was better football player imho.

How did I miss this?
Who is Cam Newton for $180,000.00 Alex?

Cam has the better arm than Tebow both powerful runners. Tebow better leader

Cam Newton, there is no other answer.

I'd have Jamarcus Russell on the list too. He was a beast in college and should at least be an option here.
I never thought this. Not a "beast". Never understood the LSU infatuation with him. Good player, not in the best of anything conversation.
