I'm talking about coming into the modern era of college footall and trying to win a title. I'm talking about spending the money to instantly make us better now. Our online was good all year being the lightest in the SEC we can use their new found good shape using even more tempo.

People need to get out of the 80s.

The spread works and there is a reason almost all of the best offenses in college use it and the NFL uses a ton of spread as well.

Fair or not, I doubt that, with an offense-minded HC, we bring in an OC to run a very different style. And people think of Auburn as a spread but when that offense is cranking it's a downhill power run game with some throwing sprinkled in.

Frost was the front runner for the CSU job but pulled his name out. He's looking for more than a lateral move. And calling it lateral is kind of flattering for us.

Yep and that's the type of spread I'm talking about imagine Chubb, Michel, and Marshall getting the ball in space. Chubb coming downhill after a full head of steam it's him vs a safety.

Agreed. UGA needs to drop the coin and go after him!

The object of the spread offense is to open the defensive line to create easier blocking lanes for the run game. But you need a Tebow/Cam/Marshall/Mariota type QB to make the spread work. Can't see Georgia running a spread with the QBs we have for the next 3 years. And the OL is not right for a spread offense. It would take about 3 years to recruit the right people.

As long as the QB isn't a threat to run, the offense you're looking for sucks.

Exactly right... UGA also isn't hiring a coordinator who's philosophy is different than what's been successful for the last 3-4 years.

This! We have had one of the best offenses in college football since the start of the 2012 season, I don't see a pressing need to implement an entirely different offensive scheme.

We haven't won shite with our offenses and we had one of the best QBs in he nation running it. Then I go and watch Oregon rip FSU a new a-hole with the spread and it looks so pretty. Ugh
