Lots of LSU fans blaming Chavis for their struggles. Wasn't he the DC on LSU best team and defense ever in 2011?

Yeah that was also an insanely talented team.
Great marriage of good coaching, and great talent.

He is very good. One of the best in my opinion. You will still not value TOP which will hurt him, but he will help y'all out a lot. Garrett should do well.

people are just emotional today, because this was not one of his best performances as a play caller.

His problem is he abandons everything he is good (man coverage, bringing pressure) when it comes time to hold on toe lead for a minute.

LSU fans wanted Saban fired at one point.

Further proof they are the dumbest fricking collection of "fans" on the planet.

I can't figure out if this is considered a reverse-melt or a pre-melt.

They know exactly how valuable he was, they are just pissed that little 'ol Aggy stole the best coach on their staff. This is nothing more than child-like rationalizations. It's a defense mechanism, and a very transparent one at that.

Literally never seen LSU fans this quick to anger.

It's gonna be a glorious offseason.

To be honest he has point. Chavis had been considered a savior to Les anemic offense but they seem to be turning on him.

Yeah, fans get pissed because of last drive blunders in important games and the current situation is pretty shitty, but they are something to at least be aware of are they not?

You seem mad. But righfully so. CLM had his head too far up his arse to realize Chavis was on his way out

I respect Chavis as a DC and believe 2011 does not happen at lsu without him. I think if he stays he should have come out and announced it prior to the game. I don't know if this affects kids on the team or not. Lsu defense is better the last few years than it was prior to his arrival. I can only think of maybe 2 dc I like as much or better.

LSU fans well appreciate Chief.

But, right before him, was Saban, Muschamp, Pelini..and before that Phil Bennett, Pete Jenkins, Mclendon, Dietzel,etc..

LSU marches on.

I loved Chief as a coach. But he is getting old and wasn't perfect.

Will do better than whatever aTm had this year, but it isn't going to be a massive turnaround in 1 year. You guys will get Daylon Mack though, so congrats on that

Pretty sure he already knew

What more is Les supposed to do?

A&M fans are going to act like their defense is going to be #1 in the SEC, and shite
