The Clarion Ledger is reporting Freeze has been offered the Florida job. I don't have a link because I don't subscribe. You can go to clarionledger.com a subscribe for free trial.

I like Freeze. I think he is a very good coach and a good man. I think the Florida job would be over his head at this point in his career - the pressure is not comparable to the pressure at Ole Miss, and the spotlight is much brighter.
I would not blame him for taking it, because sometimes you have to jump at opportunity when it comes. But if he stays at Ole Miss for a couple more years, I think it would serve him well.

I for one do not want to see Freeze at Florida....that would bring UF out of hibernation pretty much immediately. I'd rather see Freeze stay in the desolate north MS wasteland where 8-9 wins a year is about the ceiling.

The only rumor I believe at this point is that Foley is telling no one anything and any leaks will be on purpose to keep the UF brand out there and will include disinformation for the vultures to repeat all over the internet as part of the plan.
Sexton doing work is all at this point. There's nothing credible out there that tells me Freeze has been offered the job.

I can shoot the shite all I want...but personally I hope UF gets a good coach and gets back to where they need to be (maybe just not as good of a recruiter as Freeze though). This league is a better league with a dominant team in the East.
It just seems like something isn't right with UF struggling like this over the last couple of years.
