Thanks, gents.

I think it'll get worked out with a new hire. If not I think we'll pull a certain recently decommitted OL.

So Sumlin has to prepare for a bowl game against a guy that used to work for him and interview several candidates for 3 open positions.

What truly vexes me is Carson outside over and over and over again. First of all, he's a N-S guy.
Carson is better outside than people give him credit for. Look at his TD runs against Duke and ULM.

Regardless of candidate, when does this DC search need to be wrapped up?

I would hope by the end of December.

When its the right hire, even if that means till January.

Honestly if its Monday or something I am gonna be more pissed than mid January anyway. So waiting is better, as it could always be Bud Foster until it isn't (stealing a page out of Michigan's Harbaugh playbook).

Looking like it will be that way. Pretty disappointing.

Hard to believe we are down 3 coaches right now. Not exactly a beacon of stability.

Especially because part of the rationale (got it right that time) for not letting USC steal Sumlin was because we needed coaching stability so recruits like Malik would pick us over the sips.

Nah, can't doubt that now. That is no way hiring in the same cycle as the sips and ending up with the current coach at SMU would have been a good thing. We just have to ride it out to the end of 2016. Hopefully either Sumlin turns the ship with better coaching, or the next guy still has a sliver of JFF momentum to use.

Yeah but if we overpay all these coaching replacements like we overpaid Sumlin then the next guy won't have enough money for HIS staff which means another Nardizzi situation.

Liucci's Saturday update basically is

DC is either Durkin + Mattison/some other veteran

or

Foster.

Wyatt looking good for WR but a couple other names in the mix.

No clue on OL.

In his update he alludes that all his info is coming from sources outside of Ag administration.

Would Mike Singletary be a good hire as DC?
