This season has already been crazy, especially in the SEC. Could get really wild from here out. Can UGA still get in?

Doesn't look promising but anything can happen.

11-1 lock B12 Champs with no BXII CCG since thet play round robin...

I found it interesting why they placed TCU ahead of Baylor even though TCU lost to Baylor 61-58.

This is a huge weekend. With a convincing win over AU, the Dawgs could get into the top 10. Then it's up to the gods.

Wouldn't Baylor be in if both win out?
Posted on 11/12/14 at 10:18 am to dhuck20
yup, I just think KSU beats Baylor...

No. If TCU wins out then they are in the final four.

No. If TCU wins out then they are in the final four.

Spokesman for the committee said that head to head only came into play when teams had the same record and all things wer equal. TCU, UP TO THIS POINT, has played a tougher schedule. This could change if Baylor continues to win and play tougher opponents.
This explanation does not bode well if Georgia wins out and beats an unbeaten Miss. St. in SECCG.

I am really enjoying the fact TCU is over the Tide.

Georgia's losses to unranked teams will doom them...sorry.

Who the hell gave you access to this board?

based on remaining schedules and assuming the dawgs win out through the SECC...
we can eliminate 2 out of 3 of arizona, arizona state, and oregon immediately. that puts us up to 13.
only 1 big 12 team will make it out of tcu, baylor, and k-state. move us up to 11. we should still root for all of them to lose to be sure. everyone on this board can join me in rooting for the jayhawks for the next 2 weeks.
we are straight up passing michigan state, ucla, and auburn if we win out. now we are at 8.
eliminate 2 out of miss st, ole miss, and bama. that takes us to 6.
miss. state/alabama (pick 1)
oregon/arizona state (pick 1)
florida state
tcu/baylor (pick 1)
ohio state
georgia
that is our worst case scenario if we win out including an SECC win. i think everyone in this top 15 + nebraska is still alive except for UCLA, michigan state, and kansas state.

Both times that we have won the SECC under Richt, we had an unexpected loss that prevented a chance at a NC; it is possible that that scenario could happen again.

I'll probably catch shite for this but say us and MSU won out (assuming mizzou drops a game) in the regular season and we beat them in a close game in Atlanta, could you still really say we deserved to go over them if you were going by overall body of work?
Not saying that scenario wouldn't frustrate the hell out of me, but that's why you don't lose to shitty 4+ loss teams.

I enjoyed reading your take on the possibility of UGA getting into the final four.
If UGA wins out including winning the SECCG and as a result we knock the other SEC teams out of the final four but we don't get into the final four then that sucks.
If no SEC team gets into the final four then this new way of determining the national championship is bullshite!

I enjoyed reading that too and I can see the logic in his thinking.
I remember back in '07 I believe that Herbstreit (Or another prominent talking head lol) said that even with 2 losses us and USCw were the two best teams in his opinion and if there were a playoff at that time we would deserve to be in it. Of course we all know another 2 loss team, LSU won it all that year.
I think 2007 proves anything can happen....we might play for it or we might be on the outside looking in. In my heart, I feel that a UGA two loss SEC Champion team stays home. But then I remember LSU lost to UK and Arky that year so who the heck knows!

Rome said Georgia and USCw were the top two teams but LSU and OSU were the most deserving.

Thanks, I couldn't remember who said it....though it was Herbie the Buckeye Homer but I was mistaken.
