Exactly. Mizzou football IS better, but how much better? Not really enough for it to matter. Both have always been irrelevant.

Mizzou and Kentucky's overall past records are both fairly average. Mizzou however has a better overall winning percentage, more bowl appearances, more bowl wins, more conference championships, and a better overall record against SEC teams than UK has. So while both teams may be average, I'm quite comfortable saying Mizzou has a better history in football than UK does. The only apparent defense to that statement is "but but but SEC was better you built your record in a shite conference" and I don't buy into that one. If we were in a shite conference then why were we beating Bama and LSU and Florida and Auburn in bowl games out of it. The stats are what they are. You guys are historically way better at basketball. We are, like it or not, historically better at football.
But as Belle notes, the history means jack squat this coming Saturday. Here's to a good fun game and hope its not to cold. I will be there, should be fun.

Less grueling regular season schedule. It's easy to get up for one game when you don't hardly play anyone during the season.

We've got double the number of bowl appearances, roughly double the amount of bowl wins, over double the number of conference titles as Kentucky has. Those margins matter insofar as I'm very thankful we have the numbers we have in those areas rather than UK's, if we had UK's I'd be embarrassed. That's just honesty.
I've come to understand a large part of the UK psychology in dealing with those numbers is to hide behind the aura of the SEC and tell themselves that the numbers would undoubtedly be much better if only they had spent their history in any other conference besides the SEC. Since that hypothesis can never be actually tested, it provides a perfect place to run to and feel better. I can understand its appeal. But as an outsider I look at it as a psychological reaction formation, nothing more.

Kentucky is one of the worst teams belonging to a power 5 conference in the nation. Kentucky is on the same level as Temple, UCONN, Memphis,....nothing significant ever won or achieved in their programs history. To compare them to Mizzou is fricking laughable. Now kindly go frick yourself!

Yes, for instance just look at recent SEC men's basketball and its amazing overall performance during the non-con schedule.

I know it's old, but you're trolling about not accomplishing anything in history...
UK upset the #1 ranked team, Oklahoma, for the 1950 season in the Sugar Bowl breaking OU's 31 game winning streak. Even though UK finished the season ranked #7 by the AP with an 11-1 record. In 1990, Jeff Sagarin released a retroactive ranking of teams for the 1950 season and Kentucky was listed #1.
