A lot of people are screaming for Muschamp but I don't know if that will happen even if he gets fired at Florida at the end of the year. A lot of people think it's mandatory the new DC have SEC ties, but all I want is a guy who can coach up our front 7 and schematically be able to stop the run while allowing Terry Joseph to do his thing in the secondary. I'm tired of the 3-3-5, corners playing 10 yards off the ball on 3rd and short, and teach these morons at linebacker to shed a fricking block, and crush some skulls for once.

Mack Brown reeks of desperation in part of SMUs big money alumns. They are seeing their in town rival get the big time stage in the Big12 and are currently on a winning streak. Meanwhile at University Park, nobody is talking about them.

For 4 million, they can outbid most big time colleges for the services of their coach. For a lot less, they can lure Doc Holiday from Marshall.

Greg Mattison may be available if Brady Hoke gets the axe at Michigan

Whoever it is, they need to double as the linebackers coach.

I wouldn't mind Greg Mattison, but it would be a pretty "meh" hire for me. My wishful thinking is just scoop up Muschamp and make a boom hire. I mean who wouldn't want THIS GUY coaching our pansy defense?

So, Lobo, do you feel that the DC should double as the LB coach? I am not clear as to your opinion on this issue. LoL.

I think we should keep Hagen. I've seen improvement in our LBs, we're just young.

I would love to have muschamp join the staff, but he obviously doesn't enjoy college station , and I feel like he'd sit out a while from coaching.

Muschamp is a sniveling little bitch.

Who knows defense.

I'd welcome him with open arms

Get him a home in Lake Conroe and let him commute.

I just want my defense fixed damn it.

One thing I learned about defense from old RC Slocum and with which Nick Saban agrees is that if you can get 4 DB's who can play man-to-man like a sticky stripper on every play then you can let the other 7 guys go hawg wild blitzing, stunting, and swarming the ball around the clock.

I don't know what The Ultimate Defense for the SEC may prove to be, but I feel like if we could shore up the secondary we could get good faster.
