Wrong. 1992 Alabama > 2011 Alabama > 2011 LSU

'92 was great, but the offenses it faced weren't as strong.

No. LSU played 3 BCS bowl champions and beat every one of them by double digits except Alabama. And if I remember correctly, they were down against both Georgia and Arkansas by 14 points and beat them by at least 24 in the end.

And all of the teams I just mentioned outside of Alabama had a high flying offense. Even Alabama was scoring 35 points a game that year.

Still though, muhfrickas didn't even move the ball, much less score, on that unit.

Call me crazy but if Ole Miss' D keeps up its current pace and somehow carries the team to a championahip, it should be mentioned in the same breath as both of those defenses.

You're crazy. I don't think either of those teams would give up almost 500 yards to this year's A&M team. They had 10 more first downs than Ole Miss.

CBS has Golson a 4-5 round pick, Prewitt a 2-3 round pick, Bryant a 7-UDFA.

The only one I'd maybe say could be a push is Prewitt and Barron. Prewitt is a great player. The rest, no way.

Let me know when that has anything to do with this in the slightest.

With your Golson slight, I take it you're still being a bitch from him ending the game?

And you're batshit crazy. We all know your opinion means nothing when it comes to Bama. Your dumbass would make a point that 2007 Bama's defense is better than 2014 Ole Miss's

God damnit. Our starters were out of the game in the third quarter and we went prevent.

Slight? You said he was better than college version Maurice Claiborne. I'm not slighting somebody by saying they aren't as good as lockdown AA, 1st round pick cornerback for multiple years.

Ole Miss has a great D, those guys are really good players, they just aren't as good as the 3 you said they were better than.

Don't use that bullshite excuse. Alabama pulled their starters after the first drive of the second half and A&M never sniffed 200.

No, we wouldn't even argue our 2013 defense is better than Ole Miss.

But the 2011 LSU and Alabama defenses were better than pretty much every defense in the history of college football.

Ole Miss and State are both very good, maybe even national title worthy. 2011 Alabama and LSU were 2 of the 5 best teams of the last 10 years and certainly 2 of the 4 or 5 best defenses of the last 10 years.

Absofrickinlutely.

Are we talking about the defensive unit (the starting 11) or the third stringers getting their first snaps?

Agreed. Not comparable. '92 was super for there era, just like many other great D's in their eras but the coincidence of having two D's like the 2011 Tigers and Tide is a once in a generation event; similar to the '58 Tigers and Rebs.

For the record, no Ole Miss fan is arguing that our current unit is on par with the 2011 Alabama and LSU units. However, we are stating that our unit is, to date, the best defense in 2014 and a likely top five unit since 2011. All you salty, chapped fans of non-undefeated teams can continue to suck tLandmass cock.

you just can't enjoy the season can you.....in your lifetime you haven't had this much success. It's not good enough for you, you want to be the best every, etc. You are half way through the SEC schedule. You guys are talking WAY too early. It is going to be a brutal second half of the SEC schedule, and not only will you be lucky to run the table, you will be extremely fortunate to only lose 1 game. I know you don't believe it, but take it from fans that have had teams in this hunt for the better part of the last 15 years. Karma is going to be a bitch for you guys. At least State is staying somewhat grounded.

Do you just copy and paste this shite in every thread?

Just to put those defenses in perspective, Ole Miss is an elite defense this year and has given up almost as many yard through 7 games as Alabama did in 13.

2011 Alabama didn't have to contend with ATM's garbage, though. 400 yards of offense in garbage time.

Don't tell him that. They only want to acknowledge the facts that are positive for them.

completely agree.
Yalls defense is scary good this year. IMO, only thing holding yall back is your running game. Without a true running game though, I don't see how yall will be able to beat State.

Hell the 2014 Bama defense is as good if not better than both the MS schools Ds this year.

Neither are as good as the 2011 units and it's laughable to argue.
