I haven't seen anyone argue that our defense is on par with those two units, for the record.

Haven't seen it elsewhere but, for what it's worth, there was an Ole Miss dude on the link below that said this year's Ole Miss D was better than either '11 LSU or Bama...he may have just been trollin' though...

Wait, are you saying Bryant > Hightower, Golson > Claiborne and Prewitt > Barron?

Were you watching real college football in 2011?

Yes...and yes. Let it play out. It's only 7 games into the season.

Let what play out?

I've made it clear I think Ole Miss has a great defense, but that is laughable.

Just let them have their day.......they have no idea how to win with class and dignity...and have never been in this situation...of course they are over-reacting to a very large degree. In the case of OM, Karma is going to get them bigtime.

I think both teams will end with multiple losses this year, sooner rather than later....the pressure is mounting and they haven't been there. In the case of Ole Miss.....they better hope the players don't have the same attitude as the fans...otherwise, it could get ugly in baton rouge.

OM hasn't given up more than 20 points in a game so far this season

The same cannot be said for 2011 LSU.

CBS has Golson a 4-5 round pick, Prewitt a 2-3 round pick, Bryant a 7-UDFA.

The only one I'd maybe say could be a push is Prewitt and Barron. Prewitt is a great player. The rest, no way.

Call me crazy but if Ole Miss' D keeps up its current pace and somehow carries the team to a championahip, it should be mentioned in the same breath as both of those defenses.

LSU also did not give up more than 17 to a SEC team during the season.

The same cannot be said for 2014 Ole Miss.

Just went back to look at the schedule.
Beat 8 ranked teams, 3 in the top 5

Almost had the greatest season in cfb history.

I'm not even sure if serious.......for some reason, coming from you, I have to assume you are.

You do realize that LSU played an incredible schedule that year right, including on a neutral site against Oregon and at a West Virginia team that won the Orange Bowls......

Holy shite, do we ever look at variables. I understand you guys are excited, but good god use a little common sense. You haven't played a really good offense yet. AGAIN, at the end of the year, if you are still in the same situation...then gloat....bug come on, seriously...your toughest games remain, and against some really good offenses. wow

you just can't enjoy the season can you.....in your lifetime you haven't had this much success. It's not good enough for you, you want to be the best every, etc. You are half way through the SEC schedule. You guys are talking WAY too early. It is going to be a brutal second half of the SEC schedule, and not only will you be lucky to run the table, you will be extremely fortunate to only lose 1 game. I know you don't believe it, but take it from fans that have had teams in this hunt for the better part of the last 15 years. Karma is going to be a bitch for you guys. At least State is staying somewhat grounded.
