The hypocritical hate towards Sherman from Aggie fans

Sherman gets no credit for recruiting Manziel and developing the O-line, but gets all the hate for how bad the defense is.
It's amazing how the O-line has regressed since Sherman's players have started to leave. What A&M fans fail to realize is that the defense actually started to regress once Sherman players left the team in 2012 (Nealy, Porter and Stewart).
Let's be honest with ourselves. Sumlin has been living off Sherman players.

More like ranters want to give all the credit to Sherman for Manziel/Evans/OL and hold Sumlin accountable for the shitty defense.

2. I blame the defense on DeRuyter's recruiting, and I have always given credit to Sherman for the incredible o-lineman he recruited and developed.
At the end of the day, Sherman was incredible at evaluating talent, but he was horrible at convincing blue chips to come to A&M. He was not made to be a college coach. His best recruiting pitch involves a story about letting his cat freeze to death on his porch in Green Bay. Multiple football players told me this.

Sherman just couldn't get over the hump when it came to gameday coaching.
But he was fantastic at talent evaluation and teaching good technique. He found some diamond in the rough talent like many of the aforementioned players.

No hate for Sherman here. He dug our program out of the black hole that Fran left, and I appreciate that, but he just couldn't cut it on gameday.

This thread was not what I expected when I read the subject line.
All summer all we heard from the aTmers was how much they loved Sherman and what he had done to the South ... particularly Columbia, South Carolina.
And how they were happy to dance on the statehouse grounds where so many South Carolinians died defending from Sherman.
Sherman is the hero of aTm and mizzourites.
